Job summary

Westland Insurance Group Ltd. in British Columbia is seeking a Business Development Executive, Life Insurance to identify and secure new life insurance opportunities across Western Canada, with base locations in Kamloops or Surrey.

You will build relationships with individuals and organizations, promoting life insurance and risk protection solutions. The role requires a strategic mindset, strong negotiation and presentation skills, and a life license (LLQP).

Qualifications

Approximately 5 years of experience in life insurance sales and service.
Experience with key person insurance is a strong asset.
Life licensed (LLQP) in home province.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the life insurance market.
Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospects using CRM.
Conduct discovery meetings to understand client needs and insurance requirements.
Generate quotes and present life insurance solutions to prospective clients.
Collaborate with marketing and leadership teams to support sales strategies.
Support onboarding and placement of life insurance policies.
Maintain relationships with carriers and MGAs.
Educate corporate clients on the value of key person insurance.
