Compensation Range: Between $57,000 - $107,000 CDN annually
This is an embedded position located in Gatineau, Quebec, working on-site with the customer—the CP140 Weapon System Manager. The role of the Life Cycle Material Manager (LCMM) is to provide the support required to sustain the CP140 avionics systems and ensure they continue to meet the operational fleet's requirements.

An experienced Aircraft Modification Specialist, familiar with EMT04.001 (Modification Process for Approved Aerospace Equipment and Products), is required to help coordinate the progression of Aerospace Modification Approval Forms (AMAFs), prepare them for Technical Airworthiness Authority (TAA) approval, and bring them to closure.

A solid understanding of Department of National Defence (DND) AF9000 processes—including Corrective Maintenance Program Changes (CMPC), Alternate Part Approval Forms (APAF), Aircraft Inspection Change Proposals (AICP), and Aerospace Modification Approval Forms (AMAF)—is essential to understand the status, configuration, and requirements of an aircraft modification, as well as its impact on the maintenance program.

The ability to locate and interpret data within the Aircraft Maintenance Management Informatin System (AMMIS) enables the Office of Primary Interest (OPI) to provide verifiable evidence that modifications have been successfully incorporated.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate the progress of modification data packages.
  • Provide the customer with status updates and briefings on modification files.
  • Organize and participate in Technical Airworthiness signature sessions with authorized CP140 personnel.
  • Interpret, navigate, and communicate AF9000 processes.
  • Interpret, navigate, and communicate AMMIS data.
  • Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications
  • Diploma in Engineering Technology or equivalent education and experience, preferably in a military environment.
  • Previous experience supporting and maintaining DND avionics systems.
  • Knowledge of the Royal Canadian Air Force (RCAF) support infrastructure and processes.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of CP140 avionics systems.
Preferred Additional Skills
  • Knowledge of airworthiness regulations and the aircraft modification process.
  • Familiarity with RDIMS, CM Panel, EPA ADAM and DRMIS is considered an asset.
  • Sufficient English proficiency to read and interpret safety regulations, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Ability to prepare both simple and complex reports and complete required performance metrics.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively convey ideas and information in both individual and group settings.
Eligibility Criteria
  • Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
  • Must be eligible to obtain and maintain Government of Canada Reliability Status and Secret Level II / NATO Secret security clearance; and
  • Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
