Physical Demands Description:
Typical postures may include standing, sitting, squatting, kneeling, crouching, bending, lying down and reaching at working heights ranging from below floor level to overhead. Tasks required on the interior of the vehicle will require working in a vertical space of 105 to 135 cm and may involve sitting, crawling, crouching, stooping, bending, twisting, kneeling and/or lying down to access some areas, as some tasks require working in areas with space constraints. The worker may also be required to lay on a creeper to complete work under the vehicle. Vertical clearance under the vehicle is approximately 65 cm.
Sustainment shop floor employees are required to climb on/off vehicles, which may include climbing through roof hatches, rear openings, and/or the driver’s hatch. It is common for Assemblers/FSRs to complete many assembly tasks in the same area of the vehicle while maintaining static or similar postures for a period of time.

May include: Inoculations, Respiratory Fit, Audiometric Testing, Designated Substance Surveillance, Vision, Anthropometrical Size Restrictions depending on task
Personal Protective Equipment:
Applicable when interacting with shop floor (safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, extraction coveralls)
