Structural Technician

Responsibilities:
- Manufacture, modify, or repair all types of Sheet Metal or components, structures, using various fabricating equipment; develop parts with irregular shapes and curvature, including tooling such as drill jigs and form blocks, as well as manufacturing such tooling.
- Assist in developing modifications and repairs, and prepare preliminary sketches.
- Perform structural activities on aircraft.
- Inspect fuselages, engines, operating equipment, and components according to work packages and task cards.
- Carry out scheduled aircraft inspections per maintenance programs.
- Inspect ("buy-out") fuselages, engines, and components at all repair stages to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
- Ensure aircraft release in accordance with maintenance policy and customer requirements.
- Document deviations and raise non-conformance reports as per policies and procedures.
- Determine corrective actions, estimate time for non-conformance reports, and coordinate with supervisors.
- Identify parts requirements and make purchase requests.
- Work with project and workshop supervisors to ensure timely completion of tasks.
- Supervise technicians, provide technical advice, coaching, and training.
- Monitor quality, report disruptions to relevant departments.
- Ensure personnel follow instructions and policies.
- Manage unusable, expired, or rejected parts for disposal.
- Report policy shortcomings or improvement suggestions to the Quality Assurance Manager.
Skills and qualifications:
- Certification within scope of inspection authority (ICA holder).
- License S with recognized training in Sheet-metal structure repair.
- Knowledge of applicable standards.
- Use of calibrated tools where applicable.
- Completion of relevant training courses.
- Update skills and qualifications with HR.
- Report incidents and hazards via SMS.
- Follow policies and procedures related to the role.
Required experience:
- Previous experience in a similar manufacturing or industrial role.
