Position Overview

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) applies the nursing process to support clients/residents/patients in achieving and maintaining their optimum level of health within a people‐centered care approach. The LPN works to full scope of practice, engages in ongoing education, and maintains competency according to policies and standards. The role involves exercising initiative and independent judgment to determine work priorities and methods, consistent with the mission and policies of Southern Health-Santé Sud.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Current active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Manitoba (CLPNM).
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Knowledge of professional standards, ethical codes, and competency profiles.
• Ability to foster a collaborative environment, establish positive relationships, and demonstrate conflict resolution skills.
• Effective communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and meet demands.
• Respect for cultural diversity and confidentiality.
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license, insured vehicle, and liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

Physical and Other Requirements
