Job summary

Sienna Senior Living is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a part-time role in Edmonton. You will deliver nursing care in line with policy and resident care plans, while coordinating with the Wellness Manager and care staff to support daily living with dignity and respect.

You’ll work with residents, families, and the care team to ensure timely assessments, effective communication, and high-quality care. LPN in good standing with the Alberta College is required.

Qualifications

• Active LPN license in Alberta.
• Experience in geriatrics or senior health preferred.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care according to policy, physician orders, and resident care plans within LPN scope.
• Ensure delivery of high-quality nursing and personal care through sound practice.
• Create a welcoming environment for residents through teamwork and communication.
• Oversee resident care and communicate with residents, families, and staff.
• Supervise Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members on the unit.
• Manage admissions, readmissions, and status changes with ongoing assessment.

What you’ll be doing:

You will be a welcomed member of the Shasta Care Community team and impact in the following ways:

• Provide nursing care in accordance with established policy, physician’s orders, the resident plan of care, and within the scope of practice of an LPN.
• Utilizing sound nursing practice principles, ensure delivery of excellent nursing and personal care
• Creating a welcoming and supportive environment for the residents through teamwork and effective communication with staff
• Overseeing resident care, including regular communication with residents and their families, and providing guidance to staff
• Supervise the Personal Support Workers/Unregulated team members assigned to the unit
• Admission, readmission, and change in status, and provide ongoing assessment to the residents

Who you are:

• In good standing with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta
• An asset is having experience in Geriatrics, Rehabilitation and/or senior health industry
• You have good judgement, the ability to identify risk and can foster a positive work environment
