Alberta Health Services is seeking an Orthopaedic Technician (Ortho Tech) to apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints and traction equipment for orthopaedic patients within the Emergency department. You will observe, monitor, and document changes in patients’ condition while delivering safe, quality care in line with the LPN scope of practice.
The role includes providing patient- and family-centered care and reflecting AHS values in daily operations.
As an Orthopaedic Technician (Ortho Tech), you will apply, adjust, and remove casts, splints and traction equipment utilized in the care of Orthopaedic patients (clients, residents). You will observe, monitor, report and document changes in the patient's physical, mental and emotional state, while providing safe and effective, quality care while working to your full LPN scope of practice. You will play a key role in providing safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
