Job summary

Alberta Health Services is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for Unit 28 Surgery at Sturgeon Community Hospital in St. Albert. The role involves front-line patient care with heavy lifting, within a supportive interprofessional team.

Applicants must be an LPN, registered or eligible with CLHA, and hold BCLS-HCP. Two years of recent surgical experience and PCA/IV skills are preferred. Regular PT with rotating shifts and criminal record check required.

• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

This is a front-line direct patient care position and includes heavy lifting, pushing, pulling, and transferring of patients including bariatric population.

Required Qualifications:

Additional Required Qualifications:

Must have a minimum of 2 years recent surgical experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficiency with PCA maintenance and IV initiation is an asset.
