Interior Health in Summerland, BC, is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Long-term Care team at Dr. Andrews. You will provide nursing care, participate in assessments and care planning, and work with a multidisciplinary team to support residents' well-being.

This casual opportunity offers rotating day/evening shifts (07:00–15:00, 11:00–19:00, 06:45–14:45, 15:00–23:00) with flexible hours, competitive wages, and benefits like health coverage and pension as described by IH.

Formación

• Graduation from a recognized program for Practical Nurses or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsabilidades

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

About the Job

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and evenings rotating from 07:00 to 15:00, 11:00 to 19:00, 06:45 to 14:45, 15:00 to 23:00 hours.
