Job summary

Interior Health Authority in Enderby, BC seeks an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join Parkview Place on a casual basis. The LPN will perform assessments, plan and provide nursing care in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, and administer medications in accordance with policies.

Shifts include days and nights on a rotating schedule, with flexible hours 0-37.5 per week as needed. Parkview Place is a 31-bed facility offering diverse benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) providing personal and nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications following policies and procedures.
• Operates within the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) Standards of Practice and organizational policies.

About The Job

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Casual opportunity. Casual Employees are not guaranteed hours of work and can range from 0-37.5 hours per week on an as-needed basis.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 07:00 to 19:00, 19:00 to 07:00 hours.
