Job summary

Interior Health Authority is seeking an experienced and dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse to join our long-term care team at Dr. Andrew Pavilion in Summerland, BC. If Nursing is your passion and you are a reliable, flexible and motivated individual, you will be part of a fast-paced, client-centered environment.

This is a Relief Part Time (0.46) opportunity until March 25, 2028, or the return of the incumbent. Shifts are scheduled days from 06:45 to 14:45.

Qualifications

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM) and organizational policies.

About The Job

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols
