Interior Health Authority in Grand Forks, BC is seeking an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse to join Boundary Hospital.

This permanent part-time (0.78) role features night shifts from 20:00 to 08:00 and involves assessments, personal and nursing care, including medication administration, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.

Qualificações

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in British Columbia.
• Experience in a clinical setting may be preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilidades

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures.
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).

About The Job

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN):

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures
• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Permanent Part Time (0.78) opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled nights rotating from 20:00 to 08:00 hours.

The Boundary Hospital is a very busy level 1 community hospital that has a catchment population of approximately 12,000 residents. The site offers medical, long-term care and emergency services and many community health programs are co-located at the hospital facility, which makes for a very collegial, multi-disciplinary team environment.
