Interior Health is seeking an experienced and dynamic Licensed Practical Nurse to join Swan Valley Lodge in Creston, BC. If Nursing is your passion and you are a reliable, flexible and motivated individual interested in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

This permanent part-time role (0.61 FTE) offers days and nights rotating with competitive wages and comprehensive benefits, in a supportive team within Creston's Swan Valley Lodge.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a recognized Practical Nurse program.
• Current full practicing licensure with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Current CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs assessments and plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Operates in accordance with BC Standards of Practice and unit protocols.

About the Job

• Performs assessments and plans, implements and provides personal and nursing care to patients in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team; the scope or extent of the skills that the LPN performs varies according to the predictability of the outcome for a given client population


• Administers oral, subcutaneous and intramuscular medications in accordance with pharmaceutical and organizational policies and procedures


• Operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Standards of Practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM), and according to organizational policies, procedures, standards and unit specific protocols

This is a Permanent Part Time (0.61) opportunity.

Shifts of work will be scheduled days and nights rotating from 15:00 to 23:00, 23:00 to 07:00 hours.
