Job summary

Actionmarguerite is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Relief Float, 1.0 FTE days (07:15-15:30). The successful candidate will provide professional nursing care, coordinate resident care and collaborate with the health care team, supporting residents in long-term care settings in Winnipeg.

ASAP start; pay scale per MNU Collective Agreement. Position requires bilingual French/English ability (AMSJ exempt.) and current CLPNM registration, CPR, and gerontological nursing experience.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides professional practical nursing services to designated residents including independent nursing services, administration of prescribed medical treatments, collaboration and interaction within the health care team and participation in the coordination of resident care and discharge. Required Qualifications

Education and Experience

• Current active practicing registration with CLPNM;
• Graduate of approved Licensed Practical Nursing education program;
• Certificate in CPR; and
• Experience in gerontological Nursing.

This position is designated bilingual (French/English - AMSJ exempt.). All Nurses are hired for the facility. Employees may hold more than one position in different Actionmarguerite facilities, where the sum total of hours does not exceed 1.0 full-time equivalence.
