Job description

Under the direction of the Manager or designate and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to complex but stable residents/clients. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, planning and providing personal care, and performing nursing procedures. The LPN operates within the full scope of practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, adhering to agency policies, standards, and unit-specific protocols.

Qualifications: Education, Training, and Experience

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN.
• For MHSU positions, additional education as required by BCCNM for practice involving Mental Health and/or Substance Use disorders.

Skills and Abilities

• Effective verbal and written communication with residents, families, co-workers, multidisciplinary team members, and the public.
• Ability to deal effectively with others.
• Organize work and implement care plans.
