Job Description
In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. Continuous improvement of quality and safety is inherent in all aspects of this position.
Under the direction of the Manager or designate and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to complex but stable residents/clients. Responsibilities include performing assessments, planning and providing personal care, and executing nursing procedures. The LPN operates within the full scope of practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, adhering to agency policies, standards, and protocols.
