Job Overview

Under the direction of the Manager or designate and in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, the Licensed Practical Nurse provides care to complex but stable residents/clients. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, planning and providing personal care, and performing nursing procedures. The nurse operates within the full scope of practice as outlined by the BC College of Nurses and Midwives, adhering to agency policies and protocols.

Qualifications

• Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN.
• For MHSU positions, additional education as required by BCCNM for Mental Health and/or Substance Use disorders.

Skills and Abilities

• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to organize work and implement care plans.
• Knowledge of and competency to work at full scope of practice, including medication administration.
