Job summary

Alberta Health Services in Grande Prairie is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to join the Emergency department. You will deliver safe, high‑quality, patient- and family-centred care as part of an interprofessional team, contributing to assessments, documentation and care planning.

Experience with fast-paced hospital settings is preferred; CTAS is a plus. This temporary part‑time role offers a 0.60 FTE with shift rotations and a Remote Retention Allowance may apply; posting closes Aug 28, 2026.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.
• Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit with CLHA.
• Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Our team provides exemplary emergency room care for patients in a collaborative, interdisciplinary team environment. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you will play an important role in supporting and integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will contribute your nursing assessment, interpersonal and written documentation skills to assist with the treatment of a variety of patients. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values of AHS.
