Covenant Health's Grey Nuns Community Hospital in Edmonton is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse for a part-time, 0.58 FTE position with day, night, and weekend shifts. Join a compassionate team delivering holistic care in a busy emergency setting.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating in the delivery of holistic care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN practices to full scope, applying professional nursing knowledge, clinical judgment, critical thinking, and communication skills to support safe care and positive health outcomes. The role is committed to providing person-centred, culturally safe, and inclusive care that respects the diverse backgrounds, experiences, values, and needs of patients/residents and families. The LPN contributes to a culture of learning and professional practice excellence by orienting, coaching, mentoring, and supporting the development of staff, students, and learners. Required Qualifications:

Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required.Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.

Additional Required Qualifications:

Recent Emergency Department experience OR Two years Medical/Surgical/Pediatric/Acute Care experience required. Excellent assessment and organizational skills required. In this position, you will be on your feet for an extended period of time (both walking and standing), and you must be able to assist in transporting, lifting and positioning of patients. You will also be required to bend, lift, push, and pull equipment. Preferred Qualifications:

Preference will be given to those with one or more of the following certifications: ACLS, TNCC, ENPC, PALS, and EPIC. Experience and ability to work with cardiac monitors preferred. Dysrhythmia recognition and interpretation of ECGs preferred. Experience with Connect Care EHR asset; Emergency Connect Care ASAP preferred.
