In this role, you’ll work to the full scope of your practice within a multidisciplinary team, providing patient- and family-centered care based on evidence-informed practices. You’ll care for a diverse range of clients in both Acute Care and the Emergency Department, using your organizational and critical thinking skills to deliver holistic care. As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills. Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited practical nurse education program.Active or eligible for registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of LPNs and HCAs of Alberta (CLHA).Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).

Additional Required Qualifications:

Experience in the last year with acute and/or emergency care, wound care, IV initiation, and medication administration.The place of work is in a community designated for Canada Student Loan forgiveness as outlined in https://www.canada.ca/en/services/benefits/education/student-aid/grants-loans/repay/assistance/doctors-nurses/amount.html. You may be eligible for Canada Student Loan forgiveness if you meet other eligibility requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous Connect Care (Rural Nurse). Current certification: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENPC), Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC), and Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale (CTAS).
