Job description

Russell Tobin is actively seeking experienced Licensed practical Nurses to join our team in stunning British Columbia.

About the Role

As an LPN you will play a vital role in providing essential nursing care within a correctional facility setting. You will work within a supportive team environment, contributing to the health and well-being of individuals, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide professional nursing care in accordance with established standards and policies.
• Administer medications, perform treatments, and assist with procedures.
• Monitor and document patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to care.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records.
• Adhere to all safety and security protocols of the correctional facility.

Shift Details:

• Generally, 10.5-hour shifts.
• Typical rotation: two days, two afternoons, followed by four days on and four days off.

What We Are Looking For:

• Currently licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
• Strong clinical skills and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
• Adaptability and resilience in a dynamic environment.
• Experience in a correctional or similar environment is an asset but not required.
