New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program in Dieppe, NB, seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to join an integrated, multi-disciplinary team delivering high‑quality care in people’s homes and communities.

You will provide LPN‑level care across the life span, support student placements, and collaborate with physicians and other professionals while maintaining confidentiality and a strong attendance record.

Qualifications

  • Successful completion of an accredited LPN program.
  • Active registration with ANBLPN.
  • Minimum of three years recent medical/surgical, palliative and wound care experience in an acute care setting.
  • Education and experience related to medication administration, phlebotomy and physical assessment.
  • Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License.
  • CPR Level C certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
  • Strong teamwork, interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making.
  • Support student placements initiatives.
  • Able to work all shifts and maintain good attendance.
  • Confidentiality and data privacy.
  • Criminal record check.

Responsibilities

  • Provide quality patient care within the LPN scope to patients and families across the lifespan.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to coordinate care.

JOB SUMMARY

As a member of the interdisciplinary EMP team, the Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for providing quality patient care within the scope of professional LPN practice to patients and families throughout their life span.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Successful completion of an accredited school of Licensed Practical Nurses
  • Active registration with ANBLPN;
  • Minimum of three years recent medical/surgical, palliative care and wound care experience in an acute care setting;
  • Demonstrated education and experience related to medication administration, phlebotomy and physical assessment;
  • A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License;
  • Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months;
  • Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills;
  • Support student placements initiatives;
  • Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record;
  • A high regard for confidentiality; and
  • Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.

Note: For any positions in the St. Stephen EMP unit, a valid Canadian passport or Nexus card will be required.
