Job summary

The New Brunswick Extra-Mural Program (EMP) is hiring a Registered Nurse in Bathurst to holistically coordinate patient care across the home and community setting. You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing needs in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.

Required qualifications include a Diploma or Bachelor’s in Nursing, active registration with the Nurses Association of NB, English and French proficiency, a valid NB Driver’s license, CPR Level C, and a clean criminal record

Qualifications

• Diploma in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
• Active registration with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick.
• Minimum two years of specialized nursing experience in relevant areas.
• Valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License.
• CPR Level C certification or willingness to obtain within 3 months.
• Strong teamwork, leadership, judgment and decision-making skills.
• Ability to work all shifts; maintain confidentiality; and pass a criminal record check.
• Note: Passport/Nexus requirement for St. Stephen EMP unit.

JOB SUMMARY

To holistically coordinate the care of each patient, incorporating the nursing profession's values of knowledge, theory and practice. To assess, plan, implement and evaluate the needs of patients and significant others in the delivery of care and collaborate with all members of the interdisciplinary team in this approach.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Diploma in Nursing or a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing;
• Actively registered or ability to register with the Nurses Association of New Brunswick;
• A minimum of two (2) years in the last five (5) years of specialized registered nursing experience with preference in the areas of family practice, surgical, palliative care or oncology in a patient unit that requires daily collaboration with various health disciplines and family members as part of reaching patient goals;
• A good driving record with a valid New Brunswick Class 5 Driver's License;
• Have a current CPR Level C certification or be prepared to obtain within 3 months;
• Ability to work efficiently as a member of the team and possess leadership and coaching skills, strong interpersonal skills, good judgment and decision making skills;
• Able to work all shifts as assigned, maintaining a good attendance record;
• A high regard for confidentiality; and
• Submit a valid and clean criminal record check.
