Shannex Incorporated in Moncton, NB is seeking a Casual Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join the Station Yards team.

The role offers compassionate patient care, leadership of health services staff, and requires flexibility across days, nights, weekends and holidays. An ANBLPN license and CPR/First Aid are required, with French language skills a plus.

Qualifications

• Active registration with the ANBLPN is required.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including days, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Minimum of 6 shifts per quarter, with all shift types.
• CPR & First Aid or BLS certification is required.
• Clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening on hire.
• Advanced proficiency in English; French is an asset.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s and Dementia care is a plus.
• Experience in long-term care or senior living is beneficial.

Responsabilités

• Assessing and planning resident needs with medical professionals and staff.
• Provide leadership to health services staff and oversee quality health services.
• Collaborate with management to ensure policy compliance and communication.
• Administer and record prescribed medications per policy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and reporting of care.
• Apply dressings and treatments per physician orders.
• Supervise and evaluate health care staff performance.

About The Opportunity

• Assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences and internal staff;
• Providing leadership to health services staff and overseeing provision of quality health services respecting the resident’s right to individualized planning of health services;
• Working with the existing management and health services teams to promote communication and compliance to policies and procedures;
• Administers and records prescribed medication as per company policy and scope of practice;
• Maintains the standards of accurate and complete documentation and reporting;
• Applies dressings and treatments according to physician’s orders and policy;
• Assists with supervision and evaluation of job performance and behavior of other health care staff

About You

• Active registration with the Association of New Brunswick Licensed Practical Nurses (ANBLPN);
• Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays;
• Availability to work a minimum of 6 shifts per quarter, available to work all shift types and days of the week;
• A valid CPR & First Aid or BLS Certification (required);
• Ability to provide a clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening upon hire;
• Advanced proficiency in the English language is required, proficiency in French considered an asset;
• Any previous course in Alzheimer’s and Dementia Care to be a huge asset;
• Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset;
• A passion for the healthcare sector and/or ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services and care.
