Job summary

McCain Foods is seeking a Licensed Industrial Millwright for a full-time role in Coaldale, AB. This position focuses on maintenance, operation, and repair of equipment in a regulated manufacturing environment, reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor.

The role emphasizes reading blueprints/P&ID’s, using SAP CMMS, performing preventative maintenance, welding/fabrication, and collaboration with production to keep lines running with minimal downtime.

Qualifications

• Must be a fully Licensed Industrial Millwright with experience in manufacturing and/or process industries.
• Able to read and understand blueprints, P&ID’s, equipment manuals and other relevant material.
• Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
• Using logic to identify strengths/weaknesses of solutions and problems.
• Understand CMMS (SAP) and utilize it for daily work.
• Develop respectful constructive and cooperative working relationships with others.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain equipment; perform installation and maintenance tasks for safe, efficient operation.
• Participate in rotating day/night shifts and support GMP/HACCP compliance.
• Identify, document and report potential repair problems and safety risks.
• Conduct preventive maintenance, lubrication, welding, fabrication, and repairs.
• Collaborate with production and maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members via phone, email, or in person.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the shop/work areas.
