Job summary

Smurfit Westrock Milton facility is seeking a licensed Industrial Millwright 433A to join our maintenance team. You will handle preventative, predictive and troubleshooting of production equipment, aiming to root cause issues and implement lasting improvements.

The role reports to the Maintenance Manager, requires 3-5 years in Canadian manufacturing, and involves rotating 4 days on/4 days off with day/night shifts. A background check and pre-employment medical are required.

Qualifications

• Must have PLC programming and string control experience.
• Electrical experience is an asset.
• 3-5 years working in a Canadian manufacturing environment.
• Physically fit and able to work rotating shifts (4 days on/4 days off).

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot plant equipment and determine maintenance requirements; pursue root cause and implement lasting improvements.
• Respond to breakdowns and determine temporary vs permanent solutions.
• Maintain preventative maintenance programs and regular lubrication on equipment.
• Maintain operation of boiler systems and energy supply.
• Assist in electrical repairs and installation of plant equipment.
• Assist with installation of equipment and occasional design input.
• Know suitable fits for various services and understand foundation work.
• Support a 24/7 operation.
