Job description

Clean Harbors Red Deer, AB is looking for a Licensed Diesel Mechanic to join their safety-conscious team!

This individual will be responsible for performing maintenance, inspections, and repairs on our fleet of light duty trucks, heavy duty trucks, and equipment.

Schedule : Monday-Friday, 7am-3 : 30pm

Sign-on Bonus : Up to $5,000 available for qualified journeyman mechanics.

Responsibilities for Internal Candidates

• Ensure health and safety compliance by following all safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
• Secure equipment prior to work / repairs using chock blocks and jack stands.
• Correct equipment deficiencies and perform preventative maintenance on vehicles and equipment.
• Conduct thorough inspections and identify repairs needed.
• Perform routine and specific maintenance tasks.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment and vehicles.
• Disassemble, inspect, and replace worn or broken parts.
• Fit and adjust new or repaired parts.
• Complete and submit all required paperwork for tracking maintenance schedules.
• Maintain a clean, tidy, and hazard-free work area.

Qualifications for Internal Candidates

• Journeyman or Red Seal HET certification required.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Technician.
• Experience working on Vacuum Trucks is an asset.
• Class 5 Driver’s License required.
