Licensed Insurance Broker - Work From Home
Edmonton, AB or Remote Distribution Full-time
Yearly: $55,000 - $65,000

We are looking for a highly motivated and driven Account Manager to join our rapidly growing West distribution team.

About the role: Reporting to the Manager - Distribution (West), the Account Manager will be allocated a book of business and be the main point of contact to assess clients’ insurance needs. This position is both a mix of sales and service, with a core focus of retaining the book of business being allocated.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  1. Assess clients’ needs and provide accurate insurance advice to cater to client satisfaction.
  2. Provide solutions to clients' changing insurance needs while adhering to underwriting criteria set by our insurance partners.
  3. Actively pursue client referrals from the book of business being allocated.
  4. Answer inbound calls and respond to online inquiries.
  5. Provide quotations and routine follow-up with leads to bind new business (home, auto, small business).
  6. Prompt response time when modifying and adding further coverage to clients' existing policies.
  7. Provide claims counseling or advice within the carrier guidelines.
  8. Maintain a working knowledge of Surex carrier portals, broker management systems, and policy management systems.
  9. Participate in ongoing sales and service training programs.

Qualifications & Skills:

  1. Must be General Level 1 or 2 Licensed.
  2. 1-3 years of broker experience or equivalent.
  3. Proficient with Powerbroker.
  4. Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  5. Ability to handle multiple tasks and duties simultaneously.
  6. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a friendly demeanor.
  7. Independently motivated, with the ability to take on tasks and duties without immediate direction.
  8. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  9. Advanced computer skills – good working knowledge of Google Suite considered an asset.
