Job summary

TES The Employment Solution in Toronto is seeking a Licensed Industrial Electrician (309A or 442A) for a full-time permanent role. You will maintain high-speed PLC controlled processes and packaging equipment, perform troubleshooting, calibration of process instruments, and assist in new installations.

This position requires an Ontario Journeyman Electrician license (309A or 442A), eligibility for OA CET, and familiarity with TPM/PM pillars and SAP.

Qualifications

• Licensed Electrician with Ontario Journeyman license (309A/442A).
• Experience with PLCs, electronics and factory systems.
• SAP knowledge and TPM/PM experience preferred.
• Strong computer skills and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair high-speed PLC controlled processes and packaging equipment.
• Use and maintain PLCs, instrumentation and PCs to observe/repair machine function.
• Maintain electrical plant utilities including lighting and generators.
• Calibrate process control instruments and controllers.
• Complete preventive maintenance routines and work orders on time.
• Assist in projects, equipment modifications and new installations.
• Keep the shop tidy and comply with GMP, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001.
• Ensure tools and instrumentation are safe and functional.

Job description

Job Title: Licensed Industrial Electrician (309A or 442A)

Location: Sterling Rd. Toronto, ON

Hourly Rate: $44.10/hr

Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent.

Responsibilities:

• Proactively execute the needs of a 24/7 operation while being able to respond to changing demands with short notice.
• Maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of High-Speed, PLC Controlled Processes and Packaging Equipment.
• Use and maintenance of Programmable Logic Controllers, instrumentation, and PC to observe and repair machine function.
• Maintenance of electrical Plant Utilities such as lighting and emergency lighting/generators.
• Calibration of Process Control Instruments and Controllers.
• Timely completion of Preventive Maintenance Routines and Work Orders.
• Assist in project work, equipment modifications and new installations as required.
• Ensure the EET Shop is maintained in a neat and orderly fashion.
• Practice safe working methods as per the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulations, and Internal Management Policies to protect personnel and equipment.
• Ensure instrumentation equipment in the shop and personal tools are operational and safe to use. Any defective equipment is to be returned for repair or replaced.
• Other assigned duties as per business requirements.
• Follow all GMP Rules & Regulations and Quality Checks
• Work according to ISO 14001 Environment and OHSAS 18001 Safety requirements

Qualifications:

• A Licensed Electrician with an Ontario Journeyman's Electrical License (309A or 442A) and a good working knowledge of PLCs & electronics.
• Membership or eligibility for the Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians and Technologists is required
• Knowledge and/or Working experience with TPM (Total Productive Maintenance), especially with Preventive Maintenance Pillar methodology is preferred.
• Strong computer skills, with working knowledge of factory systems and SAP is highly desired.
