Sidney Harbour Dental, a trusted part of Passion Dental Group, is seeking a Licensed Dental Assistant to join our Sidney, BC clinic. You」ll chairside-assist, sterilize rooms, educate patients, and help with front desk tasks in a collaborative environment.

Certification with BCCOHP is required or in progress; experience welcomed but not essential. Competitive hourly wage ($34.00–$38.00) with a supportive team and modern facility.

Responsibilities

Specifics about the role:

• Job Type: Part-time
• Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday
• Wage: $34.00 to $38.00/ hour, depending on experience.

What you’ll do:

• Assist the dentist chairside during procedures, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and treatment rooms following strict infection control protocols.
• Educate patients on oral hygiene, post‑treatment care, and dental procedures.
• Take and develop X‑rays (if certified) and maintain accurate patient records.
• Support front desk operations as needed, including scheduling and patient communication.
• Contribute to a positive, patient‑focused clinic environment.

What you’ll bring to the role:

• Experience as a Dental Assistant (preferred, but we welcome motivated individuals willing to learn).
• Certification as a Dental Assistant with BCCOHP
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, you’re as good at explaining care as you are at providing it.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational skills, and you’re comfortable managing a busy schedule with ease.
• A collaborative spirit and the ability to work both independently and as part of a close‑knit clinical team.
• Comfort with dental software systems and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience is a bonus!
