Qualifications

• Education: OSSD or equivalent; Carpentry trades qualification and Ontario certification.
• Experience: five years as licensed carpenter in institutional/building maintenance environments.
• Knowledge: ability to read blueprints, estimate material needs and perform repairs per codes.

Responsibilities

• Performs work within facilities: construct, renovate, repair and alter structures.
• Install and maintain drywall, partitions, ceilings, doors, frames, and building envelopes.
• Install interior finishes: vinyl, ceramic, carpet, countertops and fixtures.
• Layout and install doors/windows; service curtain walls and hardware; fabricate/showcase counters.
• Coordinate work, maintain prints and documentation, ensure safety and accessibility.
