Job summary

NewRoads Honda Newmarket, part of NewRoads Automotive Group, seeks an experienced Service Technician to maintain and repair customer vehicles in a fast-paced Honda service department. You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, and provide clear quotes while upholding safety standards and high customer service levels.

Qualifications

• Honda technician experience preferred.
• A valid G class license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Up-to-date knowledge of automotive parts and their functions.
• Ability to clearly communicate automotive issues.
• High level of integrity and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, and service customer vehicles to ensure safety and satisfaction.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Diagnose malfunctions and perform required repairs.
• Inspect vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is needed.
• Provide written, prioritized quotes for necessary additional work.
• Explain procedures and repairs to the Service Advisor.
• Perform road tests and safety inspections.
• Keep workspaces clean and organized.
• Complete technical training as per Honda standards.

ROLE &RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work attentively inmaintaining, repairing, and servicing customer vehicles to ensure safetyand customer satisfaction as well as overall department success;
• Perform vehicle maintenanceand repairs;
• Diagnose the source of anymalfunctions and perform required repairs;
• Examine vehicles todetermine if additional safety or service work is required;
• Provide written,prioritized quotes for necessary additional work;
• Explain procedures andrepairs directly to the Service Advisor;
• Perform road tests andsafety inspections;
• Maintain the cleanlinessof personal and team workspaces;
• Complete technicaltraining as per Honda standards.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• Honda Technicianexperience is preferred;
• A valid G class licensewith a clean driver's abstract;
• The ability to learn newtechnology and repair and service procedures and specifications;
• The ability to operateelectronic diagnostic equipment;
• The ability to workindividually and as part of a team;
• Have up-to-date knowledgeof automotive parts and their functions;
• The ability to effectivelycommunicate automotive issues clearly;
• Possess a high level ofintegrity and work ethic.
