Job summary

Fountain Tire Didsbury is seeking a Licensed Automotive Service Technician to join our team. You will diagnose vehicle malfunctions, perform repairs, and complete scheduled maintenance to manufacturer specifications.

Qualifications

• Licensed/Red Seal status in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Strong knowledge of automotive industry and skills to provide mechanical service to customers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Diagnosing the cause of malfunctions in customers' vehicles.
• Performing repairs with accuracy and efficiency.
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles.
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturers' specifications.
• Performing scheduled maintenance such as oil changes and tune-ups.
• Advising customers on work performed and future repair needs.
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on schedule.
• Operating company vehicles in a safe, responsible manner.

You will get to:

• Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction on a customer's vehicle
• Performing appropriate repairs with accuracy and efficiency
• Completing approved service on customer vehicles
• Testing and adjusting vehicle systems to manufacturer's performance specifications
• Performing scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrications and tune ups.
• Advising customers and associates on work performed, general vehicle condition, and future repair requirements
• Maintaining mechanical service equipment on a regularly scheduled basis
• Operating company and customer vehicles in a clean and safe manner
• Supporting customer relationships by responding to customer inquiries

• Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and provide a satisfactory driver's abstract from province of residence on an annual basis
