Qualifications

Job description

The Project Architect will work on project teams to create world-class designs for new projects, alterations, and redevelopments of buildings and other architectural features in Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, heavy civil, municipal, private sector, and Environmental Facilities.

The Project Architect will work with the project team throughout the design and construction process, adapting architectural plans according to budget constraints, environmental factors, or client needs.

Responsibilities

1. Perform architectural design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion.
2. Modify and review production drawings for various building types within the water practice and other municipal projects.
3. Design exterior and interior components and architectural features aligned with client visions set by project managers.
4. Assist in preparing construction documents during various project design stages and support during construction.
5. Apply strong knowledge of architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
6. Research, compile, and report project-related data; write specifications.
7. Update drawings provided by senior architects across multiple software platforms to ensure accuracy.
8. Prepare information for client presentations, shop drawing reviews, and contract administration.
9. Conduct field inspections, measurements, and calculations for clients.
10. Perform other duties as assigned, ensuring compliance with policies and standards.

Qualifications

• Professional Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from an accredited program and 3+ years of architectural experience; consulting experience preferred.
• Registration as an Architect is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of architectural techniques and procedures.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Methodical and analytical work approach with demonstrated critical thinking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs (e.g., Lumion).
• Attention to detail, team collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information

Compensation Range: $96,217.42 - $128,289.89
