Job summary

Canadian North Inc. is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME E) with ACA to join our maintenance team in Yellowknife, NT.

You will work on Boeing 737 and ATR fleets, performing and certifying scheduled and unscheduled maintenance to support safe operations in Canada's North. Qualifications

  • Completion of an approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering Diploma Program.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant aircraft maintenance experience.
  • Valid Canadian Driver's License.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must obtain and maintain an AVOP with the appropriate D/DA rating.
  • Must obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card in accordance with the Airport Restricted Area Access Clearance Program regulated by Transport Canada.

Responsibilities

  • Perform, supervise, and certify maintenance activities including inspections, repairs, modifications, and aircraft movements.
  • Exercise ACA privileges and sign maintenance releases in accordance with Transport Canada regulations.
  • Troubleshoot aircraft systems and identify corrective actions.
  • Complete maintenance tasks using approved manuals, work orders, Service Bulletins, and engineering instructions.
  • Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete and control aircraft parts tags and maintenance records.
  • Maintain accountability for company tools, equipment, and technical publications.
  • Support operational reliability while maintaining the highest safety standards.
  • Work collaboratively with Maintenance Control, Flight Operations, Stores, and other operational departments.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Canada Rotational Position
Yellowknife, NT, CAN


Schedule: 12-hour night shift, 3 weeks on / 3 weeks off


Compensation: $38.52–$53.29 per hour, with opportunities to earn and bank overtime in accordance with the GAFAE Collective Agreement. Starting salary will be determined based on internal equity and the successful candidate’s qualifications, skills, and relevant experience.


Travel & Accommodation: Employees rotate in from Ottawa, ON and are eligible for travel reimbursement of up to $1,000 per month. Company-arranged accommodations are provided during rotational assignments.


About the Opportunity

Canadian North is seeking a Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME E) with Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) to join our maintenance team in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories.


Working on our Boeing 737 and ATR fleet, you will perform and certify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance activities that support safe, reliable operations across Canada's North. Preferred Qualifications


Candidates possessing any combination of the following will be considered strong assets:



  • Boeing 737 Classic and/or NG experience

  • ATR 42 and/or ATR 72 experience

  • Previous ACA experience

  • Active ATR or Boeing 737 type course

  • Ability to communicate in Inuktitut

  • Experience working in remote, northern, or rotational operations
