Qualifications

• Community College Diploma in a related discipline preferred, Library Technician Diploma is an asset.
• Previous library experience is preferred.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours, including Saturdays and some evenings.
• Must be able to work at any branch location (Elmvale, Midhurst, Minesing); travel between branches may be required.
• Criminal Records Search - Vulnerable Sector Screening required.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine circulation duties, including checking materials in/out, requests, fines, and member registration.
• Provides basic reference service and guidance in using the library catalogue.
• Assists with programs and communications/marketing.
• Shelves materials and assists patrons with technology questions.
