The Ottawa-Carleton District School Board is seeking a School Library Technician for Shingwákons Public School. This position is 50% regular, part-time, 10 months per year, and offers 17.5 hours per week with a pay rate of $27.22 to $33.67 per hour (Level 5).
Under the direction of the Principal, you will provide library services, organize materials, and support classroom units of study while engaging with students and staff in a bilingual setting where English and French are assets.

Under the direction of the Principal or designate, the Library Technician will provide technical and public services and perform other duties related to library operations such as organize, maintain, select, order, circulate print and non-print materials, provide reference services, research and prepare support materials for units of study, and perform public relations, supervisory and clerical activities.

Evaluation & Assessment: In accordance with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board's Administrative and Support Staff Selection Process, the evaluation and assessment of candidates will be completed using the following four (4) identified areas of performance: Organizational and Management Skills, Communication, Interpersonal Skills, and Knowledge and Practice, as they relate to the duties, qualifications, knowledge and education outlined above.
