Under the direction of the Principal or designate, the Library Technician will provide technical and public services and perform other duties related to library operations such as organise, maintain, select, order, circulate print and non-print materials, provide reference services, research and prepare support materials for units of study, and perform public relations, supervisory and clerical activities.
In accordance with the collective agreement, a newly hired regular employee is not eligible to accept another position (i.e. move positions) for a period of six (6) months.
In accordance with the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board's Administrative and Support Staff Selection Process, the evaluation and assessment of candidates will be completed using the following four (4) identified areas of performance: Organizational and Management Skills, Communication, Interpersonal Skills, and Knowledge and Practice, as they relate to the duties, qualifications, knowledge and education outlined above.
