Job Summary

Zurich Canada is hiring a Liability Product Designer to join our team! This role will be located in Toronto; however, we are open to remote work for the right candidate within Canada.

You will provide expertise in insurance wording development, transactional support, and project leadership for Large Liability, Programs, and Middle Market Underwriters, aiming to create innovative insurance products efficiently and successfully.

You will operate autonomously as a Subject Matter Expert, facilitating business objectives and delivering superior customer service while managing legal and regulatory risks.

Job Accountabilities - Key Responsibilities

1. Product Development and Enhancement : Collaborate with teams to define specifications, build or improve products, review competitors' offerings, support change management, develop process flows, maintain strategic partnerships, and advise on coverage requests and policy language.
2. Technical and Strategic Contributions : Lead complex projects, develop underwriting guidelines, conduct legal research, create training materials, review forms and endorsements, and maintain a comprehensive endorsement library.

Job Qualifications

Required :

• Bachelor's Degree with 8+ years in Product Development or High School Diploma with 10+ years in the same field
• Experience in Property and Casualty insurance across major lines of business
• Underwriting and/or Claims experience

Preferred :

• 8-10 years in Product Development
• FCIP / CRM certifications
• Strong relationship-building, communication, project management, problem-solving, and analytical skills
• Juris Doctor (JD) / Bachelor of Laws (LLB)
