University of Regina Careers seeks an experienced lecturer to deliver LG 204: Basic Accounting Practices in an online format for the Winter 2027 term. Responsibilities include developing curriculum, delivering asynchronous content, and assessing student work.
The candidate should hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience, and can contribute to curriculum development and advisory activities within the Centre for Continuing Education.

Posting Summary
Description: This course presents the fundamentals of financial accounting theory and practice at the introductory level. Basic accounting principles, their application in modern business organizations, the preparation of business records and financial reports are considered.
Position Requirements: Candidates should have a Masters degree in a relevant area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
LG instructors are asked to attend LG Advisory meetings (approximately two per year) as well as instructor team meetings as needed. LG instructors will be evaluated by students and feedback will be provided by Division Head after each semester to ensure high quality teaching and learning. Communication with other instructors in the LG program is encouraged to ensure transfer of knowledge and skills is consistent throughout the program.
Teaching and Curriculum Development Qualifications: This course will be offered in an online delivery format. Candidates are responsible for ensuring course material and curriculum meets current municipal sector and University academic requirements. Candidates should have good understanding of post-secondary academic standards and have strong communication and analytic skills to provide clear and effective written feedback for students on assignments and exams.
This course will be delivered in an asynchronous, online format. Applicants should be familiar with instruction in an online environment. Familiarity with UR Courses is an asset.
