Job summary

Canada Post is seeking a full-time, permanent Delivery Agent (Letter Carrier) in Val-d'Or, QC. You’ll be the face of Canada Post in your community, delivering mail and parcels to customers and businesses.

This role requires outdoor work year-round, a valid driver's licence, and the ability to lift up to 22.7 kg. The schedule is typically 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with training provided.

Qualifications

  • A valid Class5 or ClassG driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
  • The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7kg (50lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9kg (35lb) regularly throughout the day.
  • The ability to work in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

  • Sort and prepare the day’s deliveries at the depot.
  • Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
  • Deliver mail and packages on foot or by vehicle to customers on the route.
  • Return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages.

Job Responsibilities

What will you do?

  • You’ll start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries
  • You’ll load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle
