Job summary

Canada Post in Thompson, Manitoba, is hiring a full-time Delivery Agent (Letter Carrier). As a permanent, full-time employee, you will be the face of Canada Post in your community, delivering mail and parcels on your route, on a 40-hour work week with a consistent schedule.

This role requires a valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence, the ability to lift up to 22.7 kg and carry up to 15.9 kg, and the stamina to work in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

  • A valid Class5 or ClassG driver's licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years.
  • The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35lb) regularly throughout the day.
  • The ability to work in all types of weather.

Responsibilities

  • You’ll start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the day’s deliveries.
  • You’ll load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
  • You’ll spend most of your day outside, delivering mail and packages on your route.
  • You’ll return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
