Job summary

Canada Post is looking for an on-call Delivery Agent (Letter Carrier) in Repentigny, Quebec. You'll be the face of Canada Post in the community, delivering mail and parcels to customers and businesses, and working outdoors year-round.

This temporary on-call role requires a valid driver’s licence, ability to lift up to 50 lb, and the capacity to work in all weather. English and/or French reading/writing skills are required.

Qualifications

• A valid Class 5 or Class G driver’s licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (driver's abstract required).
• The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
• The ability to work in all types of weather.
• The availability to be on-call and able to read, write and speak English and/or French.

Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare the day’s deliveries at the depot.
• Load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle.
• Spend most of the day outside delivering mail and packages by foot or vehicle on the route.
• Return to the depot to unload the day’s incoming mail and packages for later delivery.
