Job summary

Canada Post is hiring Letter Carriers – Delivery Agents in North Vancouver, BC, with coverage extending to Squamish, Sea to Sky, and the North Shore. As a temporary, on-call delivery agent, you'll be the face of Canada Post in your community and make sure customers and businesses get the mail and parcels they're waiting for.

Join a timely, field-based role with on-the-job training and opportunities for permanent employment as you serve residential and business customers along your route.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's license with a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
• Ability to lift up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly.
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all weather.
• On-call availability.
• English and/or French language proficiency.
• Customer service experience is an asset.
• Delivery or driving experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Sort and prepare the day's mail and parcels at the depot each morning.
• Load and operate a Canada Post postal vehicle safely and efficiently.
• Deliver mail and packages to customers along your assigned route by foot and vehicle.
• Serve residential and business customers across North Vancouver, Squamish, Sea to Sky, and the North Shore.
• Unload incoming mail and packages upon returning to the depot for next-day processing.
• Work in all weather conditions, maintaining reliable service year-round.

• Deliver mail and packages by foot and by vehicle to customers along your assigned route
• Serve residential and business customers across North Vancouver, Squamish, Sea to Sky, and the North Shore
• Unload incoming mail and packages upon returning to the depot for next-day processing
• Work in all weather conditions, maintaining consistent and reliable service year-round

Requirements

• Valid Class 5 or Class G driver's licence with a clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years (driver's abstract required)
• Physical ability to lift items up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout each shift
• Ability to work outdoors year-round in all types of weather
• On-call availability
• English and/or French language proficiency — reading, writing, and speaking
• Customer service experience is an asset
• Delivery or driving experience is an asset
