Role Description

This is a full-time role for a legal assistant at Romaya Law located in Vancouver, BC.

Qualifications

  • It would be great if the person has some sort of certificate in Law Clerk or Litigation Assistant studies;
  • We need someone who has good writing skills and a strong command of the English language;
  • The person needs interpersonal skills and is good with communicating with clients via email or over the phone;
  • We need an organized person who has experience using Microsoft Office, Legal Practice Software like Cleo, PracticePanther, or Teraview;
  • Experience monitoring deadlines, updating lawyer calendars, and scheduling and monitoring appointments with clients is required;
  • Familiarity with printing, scanning, formatting, writing legal memoranda or legal letters;
  • If possible, experience in preparing financial statements of account or sending out invoices to clients;
  • Ability to take instructions and follow guidelines;
  • Capability to manage files, open, maintain, and organize complex files using a proper filing system;
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and handle conflict.
