An established industry player is seeking a dedicated Legal Assistant I to join their Solicitor Practice Group. The Legal Assistant I – Solicitor Practice Group will perform senior legal assistant duties for multiple solicitors within the Legal Services Department. Responsibilities include preparing and processing a variety of legal documents independently, assisting lawyers on departmental matters, and specialized expertise in land development, real estate, and corporate legal practices.
The role reports to the Administrative Manager, Legal, and requires collaboration with legal professionals and external contacts. Key duties involve drafting contracts, reviewing legal documents, conducting land title searches, liaising with stakeholders, maintaining files, and ensuring compliance with legal procedures.
Qualifications include a high school diploma supplemented by a paralegal program, with at least five years of relevant experience in BC. The candidate must have extensive knowledge of legal procedures related to land transactions, corporate matters, and bankruptcy, along with excellent communication and technical skills.
This position offers a hybrid work arrangement and is a full-time, regular role starting June 2025, with a salary range of $34.3 to $40.34 per hour. The application deadline is May 9, 2025.
