  • Preparing/drafting and revising correspondence and various court documents
  • Awareness of processes and deadlines for notifying, serving and filing court documents
  • Scheduling mediations, pre-trials and trial dates, amongst other scheduling tasks

What You’ll Do

You will be a key addition to the fast-paced Litigation team, maximizing your strong skills in Microsoft Office and strong attention to detail. You will be involved in a wide variety of tasks, including:

  • Preparing/drafting and revising correspondence and various court documents
  • Awareness of processes and deadlines for notifying, serving and filing court documents
  • Scheduling mediations, pre-trials and trial dates, amongst other scheduling tasks

The legal professionals in this group have document intensive practices with multiple priorities and tight deadlines.

What You Bring

You have established yourself as a key resource with your experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and PPT). You also have legal experience in a law firm environment as a Legal Administrative Assistant and are familiar with a variety of practice areas.

You have strong administrative, organizational and interpersonal skills (both oral and written). You are proactive, detail-oriented and are able to effectively meet deadlines. You work well independently and, in a team, setting and provide an exceptional level of client service. The candidate must have a proactive and flexible attitude as well as keen attention to detail including thorough proofreading skills in both languages. Candidates should be flexible with respect to working overtime on an as-needed basis.

The ideal candidate will have two (2) to three (3) years’ experience and possess a good working knowledge of The Quebec Civil Code of Procedure.
