The Canada Green Building Council (CAGBC) seeks a Certification Reviewer I/II, Energy HVAC in Ottawa to join a technical team that reviews LEED, Zero Carbon Building Standards and IREE certifications, ensuring quality, consistency and timeliness.

Apply knowledge of building energy performance, HVAC&R systems, and energy modelling to assess compliance and support project teams, while contributing to rating system updates and client guidance.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in the field.
• LEED AP with specialty required or to be obtained within 6 months.
• Experience with high‑performance building projects and Canada environmental codes.
• Experience using energy modelling programs (eQuest, IES) and understanding inputs/outputs.

Responsabilités

• Perform in-depth technical review of energy/HVAC documentation to determine compliance.
• Perform QC review of work by CAGBC reviewers and third parties.
• Provide SME guidance on energy performance, HVAC&R, commissioning, and IAQ.
• Contribute to rating systems, tools, and project-specific options.
• Support process improvements and client experience across initiatives.
