Job summary

CIMA+ is seeking a Senior Energy Efficiency Engineer to join our Buildings team in Ottawa. You will deliver energy audits, energy management, building optimization, and decarbonization projects for institutional, commercial, municipal, and federal clients across Canada.

The role combines hands-on analysis with site investigations, enabling practical ECM development and close collaboration with mechanical, electrical, and controls specialists.

Qualifications

• Experience performing energy audits and energy efficiency studies.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems and building automation.
• Proven ability to analyze energy data and develop ECMs.
• Experience with energy management and decarbonization projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead energy audits and building performance assessments for various portfolios.
• Develop energy conservation measures and quantify savings.
• Perform technical and economic evaluations of energy projects.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project scope.
• Prepare technical reports and client presentations.
• Support commissioning and post-implementation verification.
