The Job!

Reporting to the Vice President, you play a key role in securing new deals, renewals, and more for a variety of industrial (retail and office) properties across the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). You will:

• Respond to lease inquiries and assess feasibility based on tenant use and potential conflicts.
• Evaluate financial credibility of prospective tenants for approval.
• Gather and provide necessary information to assist agents in presenting properties.
• Arrange property viewings and consultations with potential tenants.
• Work with Tenant Coordinator to determine finishing specifications and lease rates.
• Recommend and discuss lease rates and terms for executive approval.
• Prepare and present lease proposals based on approved terms.
• Negotiate leases and coordinate with legal counsel to resolve issues.
• Ensure vacant units are presentable and meet landlord standards.
• Maintain leasing website with available units and accurate information.

What you bring to the job

To excel in this role, you must have the following qualities:

• A high school diploma and/or college diploma or university degree ideally in Business, Real Estate, or Marketing
• A minimum of 2-4 years of experience in real estate, ideally in retail leasing
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
• Knowledge and experience with Yardi Voyager would be an asset
• Understanding, knowledge, and experience in reading lease documentation and zoning by-laws
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Attention to detail and upholding the utmost accuracy
• Valid Driver’s License and access to a vehicle for property visits within the GTA
